Net Curtains Direct’s (NCD) sales were flat YoY QTR 4, 2016, 1 & 2 2017. After Quayside Digital implement the improvements it had identified sales increased to +35% YoY QTR 3 2017.
How was this achieved?
After analysing the data, we identified there was an opportunity to increase traffic via an enhanced Pay-Per-Click campaign structure. We also identified that NCD had to accelerate its mobile first optimisation.
We rebuilt the Google Adwords (PPC) campaigns from scratch using exact and broad match keywords, covering every possible net curtains & voiles search (size, colour, pattern, material, hem style, heading and drop type). We tightly themed the ad groups around a maximum of 20 similar keywords and produced at least 4 different ad text. We utilised all of Google Adwords’ ad extensions: sitelinks, call extensions, callouts and structure snippets.
We enriched the Google Shopping feed by including data for every possible field and optimising the content to increase searches the ads would appear for. We organised for the Yotpo seller / product review stars to be integrated with NCDs Google Shopping advets.
We provided concept designs for mobile website changes – phasing it into quick wins and medium term development. Quayside Digital then worked with NCDs offshore developers to implement the web changes.
